Yummy Braids!
this beautifully dyed domestic top roving from A Little Quacky! Very bouncy! Looking forward to getting on my wheel again very soon!
here's a little closer view of its beauty! Very springy.. This girl here has severe spring fever and allergies in full swing!! This will make some beautiful yarn!
I just couldn't seem to resist this stitch marker... Just too cute!

Did I mention in my last post that you can get paid to go on vacations and travels, each member of of family too! Have a check waiting for you when you return home plus also write if off on your taxes too! Why not travel whole instead of retail!

Sock Yarn Blanket WIP
This is going to be a work in progress thats for sure!!
I started my squares with some leftover sock yarn I have, have more then what made the photo this time....There about 2x2
Need a TON of leftover sock yarns if anyone has some they don't' want or need I'll gladly accept them! ;o))) preferably with some wool content for the warmth....but all welcomed thin/thicker types ok too should workout fine.. I'll make it work. Just let me know what you'd like in a fair return when you contact me please! TIA
I figure my son would really enjoy a nice big old blanket to snuggle with when he needs to get pick up and head to the ER in a hurry or just to cuddle.. He loves blankets and wanted me to make him a fish blanket with different colored fish, but I thought since I'd have to buy so many of the same brand and weight yarn and I had all these sock yarn leftovers that I'd compromise with him and do this this instead.. I sure need a TON of leftover sock yarns though....

so off to look for some deals.. I found on Etsy at Karen's Heavenly Creations
a variety of different colorways to use too
even these smaller samples as well
so to the swift and ball winder I went
to get these neat cakes to start with

so off to get more squares going
so far I'm just knitting a bunch but will start to put some together soon I'm sure so I'll be less likely to loose or misplace the squares then a piece of fabric right.....
of and with the smaller pieces that don't work out for squares I think I'll start wiping up some earrings like these using stealing silver wire...maybe sell on Etsy too to help fun this WIP....hmm with so many colors what would a nice shade for a border be? err! I'll worry about that later....

New In Stash
Claudia's Hand Painted yarn in Blue Fields I just couldn't resist.
Found it in my travels.....
My son started with a rash this week so the DRs had to check and re-check and we have to keep a close eye on him this weekend.....
So I splurged a bit and bought Rock Band for PS2 and SingStar, the rock band is hard and the kids can't do that one but they love the SingStar, since it's a huge hit it'll keep them entertained this crappy weekend were suppose to have and I'm even getting hooked on it too...
Hoping to get some knitting time in and work on a few mitered squares with some leftover sock yarn laying around here.. It seems this blanket will take a TON of leftover sock yarns if anyone has any they'd like to get rid of feel free to contact me I'd be happy to take them off your hands, colors don't matter but would like to have wool content for the warmth.

Make Your Sweaters Fit Perfectly!
It tells you how to fit several generic body sizes at his or her gauge.
But what do you do if you have a non-generic body, Brand Q yarn, and a relaxed gauge? Consulting Sweater 101 is an attractive option.
- make a proper gauge swatch and measure it with an accuracy worthy of NASA.
- know the three sources of measurements for sizing a sweater.
- create a simple-to-follow “Picture Pattern.”
- easily chart a set-in sleeve cap.
- have the tools to organize your knitting information.
- use two simple math skills to save time.
- adapt a pattern to your yarn, gauge and body size.
- change necklines and collars on any sweater.
- fall in love with any yarn and buy it knowing you can make your own pattern for it.
and so much more!
I bought this and it's a well written for people of all skills! Great to keep around for reference for the more experienced knitters and a GREAT tool for the beginners and intermediate!
Great reviews so far!!
It's more like a workshop then a book

Sorry to see SP11 End!
I opened my package that has been sitting patiently waiting for me.
My SP11 was so very sweet and thoughtful. She really had to put alot into this package thats for sure! Being new to the swaps I must tell you She's just WONDERFUL!
Here's a closer view of the suitcase, very ingenious! Very pretty design
Here's what was inside the package, a wrapped gift and a small suitcase!
the wrapped present was a great hard cover book on weaving. Deborah Chandler's revised edition of Learning to Weave. I've been trying for so long to get the perfect warp.. Hopefully now I'll understand and do better. Can't forget the Green tree Pepps! ;o)
Thank you so very much for making the end of the swap such fun! I really appreciate the timing and something good to come home to waiting for me. Andrea you've been WONDERFUL! Going to catch up with your blog since I never figured out who you were, and you've seen on me Ravelry.. WOW! I had no idea....
Thank you for the pretty card too!
Much appreciate EVERYTHING and your patience with me too! Your a sweetheart for sure!

Yarn Porn & Brief updates & Fos
Update of Sock Wars is that I've sent off my socks and killed and have received mine afterwards. Will upload photos over the weekend of the ones I've received.
Here's some photos of the ones I sent out.... with my little baby gnome I made as well....

I use a gorgeous very soft luxury Alpaca yarn for a little luxury for my targets feet!

Worked out a swap for some Fleece Artist Wool/silk & sea silk sock yarns

since there was no labels I'm sure sure which is which exactly but some lovely colorways thats for sure

quick update on my son is we still have no answers the DRs haven't figured it out exactly and don't' know whats wrong they do recognize something but want a different opinion from other DRs at a different Boston Area Hospital besides Children's Hospital... Errrr! So very frustrating in the meantime we've been weaning him off Meds and dealing....

Birthday Presies for myself
Celebrating 29 AGAIN!....lol
I think I went a little over board.. opps,Oh Well, and how funny it all shows up within 24 hours
a HUGE skein of CTH Sock It To Me sock yarn approx 7 oz 952 yards for socks of course!

here's one side the red/purple shades

and the other side shades of reds

then I got a bag of Louisa Harding Kimono Angora... oh so yummy I have no idea what to make with it so it'll be for petting, to stroke & cuddle right now, until it grows up

15 skeins of Contrasto by Skacel, but at the time I had a project in mind and since I received it, I haven't the foggiest what I wanted to make!!!! YIKES!

a few Ebay purchases some 800-1600 yard cones of cotton, rayon, linen to weave with
maybe towels

a luscious 100gram skein of Sontata rayon/cotton/cotton chennile/silk blend. I think it's make a very cool pair or two of ankles for sure

3 skeins of Hempyarn I bought from Zonda to make wash cloths and/or sock sacs with the leftover

part of my KP order some gloss a couple skeins of Serengeti for me and Woodland Sage for someone else in a swap

and Charmed Knits need to make some gifts. My neighbor had asked me to make a couple of the scarves already.. Now I need more yarn!

Of course 2 days after I place my order the New Harmonycome out and I really want them but now I guess I'll have to wait.. Spent way to much money already.....

Yarn & a New Project
I bought a kit to make this Peace Fleece Everyday Cardigan

it came with this yarn in Periwinkle which I like the color a bit more on the purply side of what I expected for periwinkle and I think it's to scratchy for my taste

and was thinking of substituting with this one Cascade Ecological

these buttons were included which would go with either yarn

Now I can't decide... What to do? I want to cast on like yesterday so I can get this done this done before the cold weather starts
HELP! Opinions please!
