Updates and in need of some help

I've been in bed, hospital and couch for over a week now recovering....had a very tough time with procedures found out I have to have a full follow up I didn't pass the cardiology screening nor tests, EKG & ECHO.... so to a cardiologist to see if I qualify for a pacemaker (like I really need any more medical issues, I have enough to last an entire extended family for a lifetime!!) and when they took my liver out later in the week they had to take a few biopsies of stuff.. liver not looking to good....Hopefully will have those results by the end of this week.... Crossing my fingers.. in the meantime between kids needs, my own and resting I've been busy knitting again.. Boy does it feel GOOD! A little painful but nevertheless GREAT to be knitting again. Makes me feel better and not so depressed...I think the pain meds help me knit faster...heehee

Here's one pair of socks. Pattern is from the new book "Friendly Sock Compilation, Vol II: A-Z and more".

Pricing: Book 1, $24 and $4.50 priority ship
Book 2, $28 and $4.50 priority ship.

Special offer: if you order both books together, then you can
have free shipping (a $9 value) or 20% off book 1.

PS paypal to, drlaura@siriusknitting.com

(btw I have some patterns in it, I was published for the first time this year!!)

the pattern that I have been working on here is called Big Yellow Taxi designed by Becky Yoder
which I only changed the colors for July.....thought it looked pretty neat....

So I weighed out my yarn and all to make sure I had enough but opps.. Guess what not! Hoping someone can help me out here maybe possibly.....pretty please, my toes will be very cold....and another shade/color didn't look right.....

now............

I'm in immediate desperately seeking if anyone happens to have a few
yards in their sock yarn leftovers of
Louet Gems Pearl in Cherry Red?

Dyelot 80.1112-8 but NOT necessary just need a few yards to finish up
a toe is all..

I love leftovers if you don't need them , can work out arrangements
for them please email me off list. I'm on the east coast but don't
care where it comes from ......

Then I'll be back to my recovery! promise.....yeah right! Seriously yes, back to the couch for a nap!

Does anyone have one that'd like to swap, sell copy or link to one somewhere.

Beautiful Spring Day Clearing Out! & WEE Little Tiff!

Well it was a beautiful day this afternoon especially at our house today.
This is one of the largest trees on our steet thats for sure.

I certainly won't miss the back breaking job of racking at least 10 LARGE LAWN BAGS per week of annoying oak leaves & acorns. It's very close to the house and each year we use DH pick up truck with ladders on the bed and jump from the top to cut back branches.. Not a pretty site thats for sure... fun but scary...Dh would make my nervous when I was on the ladder, he'd jump and do weird stuff....

her he goes in the bucket thing

it sure is pretty loud and my house has been doing some rattling....ekkks!

isn't the sky soo bright and blue today!

What a mess I hope there going to clean it all up! Not I! (hope not anyway)

about 45 minutes to an hour later here's where they are now

this is what it looks like now

The company sent the tallest bucket truck today, we have about 3 more coming down (scrub pines)next but the biggy was first because they needed so many guys to help. I was told before hand to keep away from the windows and that end of the house becuase they though it may break something coming down... I'm going to miss all the shade this summer in the yard but it could be a good thing right?

Now back to some yarn story... Very bummed! I was at the grocery store the other day and those stupid belts you put your groceries on well lets just say I had a little tiff with one the it WON! Yep it did!
Look!! This is all thats left of my STR emergency yarn keychain! VERY VERY UPSET about it...

You know the store manager wouldn't even take that thing apart for me either ;o() I offered to do it and put it back the way it was too....Guess you could say that I'm a little obsessed you'd say! I was attached to it....it was STR yarn!! Dont' they understand??

ISO

working on a project with some gals locally and were using any fiber, any color, any gauge, novelty really any type of yarns at all for it.. If you have any unwants, throw aways stuff you'll never use or just don't want.. contact me we'll be happy to use them.. most need about enough to cast on 150-170 of anything and it just keeps getting passed around until it can be an item to be auctioned or donated. Most likely to nursing homes or something like that

Let me know what you'd like for your scraps, paritals or whatever.

Thank you

Michelle

My Birthday Cup Cakes.........NOT! Or is it!?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Ok well not exactly birthday cake cups but definatley cupcakes.......lol My little cupcakes aren't they adorable?? My son really wants this pink one but little does he know I'm making him a chocolate & blue cup cake hat for himself.. He can be such the little girl sometimes I swear....
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I'm going to make a half dozen or so for little gifts for the kids in the family, cousins, etc. Of course I may add some jimmies with white or colored yarn peices for the little ones and beads for the older kids......Who doesn't like al ittle cup ckae, even DH had to admit they were cute... There's some free paterns for hats on  Chole Con Yarne's blog... There all so cute but these had to be the cutest and most unique and how the kids hate to wear hats in the winter I thought they'd be perrrrrrfect!! Super quick to knit up in an evening too. I just used some left over junk and wiped one up to try and they really do fit a variety of heads but the others I'm going to make about 1/2-1 inch longer on the ribbing because the girls with hair it gets a bit slippery.

One hat I'm going to alter the pattern a tiny bit and make it to match my cousins strawberry shortcake theme of everything she owns.....but do the entire thing in red/pink color then on the top decreases use green and the pom pom green or brown for the stem and black specks .. Hopeully it will work...  Does anyone have some extra time I can borrow to do all these??!!  lol pretty please... really need more time

I 'm in desparte need and hope that some older knitters may save there extra little ends, balls, sks of old yanrs that possible someone outt here maybe aboe to help me out!!! I'll even dance in the street naked if I have too!!!1    LOL Now that'd be a site a frightening one at that!!!  LOL

I do know what it is It's Berroco Tribeca, it hasn't been around in about 10 years I'm guessing!!! So please please if you have a little in your stash. Please check you may and not realize it!  ;o))). Please contact me ASAP!! I so wanted to wear this top  when I head on out trip to the midwest next month!!  I can't even find something close enough to replace it  ;o(

Actually I had enough according the to pattern and the gauge but apparently not!! I wonder if there was a typo on the pattenr booklet!  I've already spoken to the company and they don't even have a yard  anyway. They checked and double checked for me and this was my best bet to ask other knitters!!   SO now I'm begging, pleading, OH NO will be whining possible crying over this! Anyway out there please can you help!?? I'd be happy to buy it off you, swap for something else that I may have that you may like even a bar of handcrafted luxury soap or cream?? Anything! Of course I could include some chocolate if you like!!  ;o)) Trust me that means ALOT I dont' part with chocolate once it's in my hands. This will defiatetly be a special occasion
